Legacies

McArthur Hall

Methodist College is fortunate to have benefitted from gifts in wills throughout our 150-year history.

From developing our beautiful campus or supporting the next generation of students, our alumni and friends are ensuring the School continues to succeed in the future. By giving in your will, you will play a vital role in our future aspirations and even a small donation can make a big difference. If you remember your time at Methodist College fondly, please consider remembering us with a gift in your will.

Leaving a Legacy for Methodist College is an opportunity for you to: Do all the good you can... as long as ever you can.

When Methodist College first opened on the 18th August 1868, it was reported as being "A most important step in the progress of education in Ireland." Since then Methody has grown, adapted, innovated; and flourished; remaining at the forefront of educational provision in Northern Ireland, providing an excellent, all round education that has consistently produced confident, capable and caring young adults.

Our vision for Methodist College is to continue to develop young adults who leave school with a sense of opportunity, and a sense of responsibility to make things better. Young adults who seek opportunities to make a different and who are committed to living and working with passion, commitment, integrity and humility. Young adults with, as Sir Walter Scott put it, "the will to do, the soul to dare."

By leaving a gift to Methodist College you will be an enduring part of the College's future. You will be leaving a legacy that ensures that the values, aims and excellence of Methodist College will continue to flourish, providing opportunities for thousands of pupils to benefit from your generosity.

Discuss your Legacy

We will also discuss how you would like your gift to be recognised.

The educated person is one who has most nearly attained the potential which they have within them to become, morally, culturally, and spiritually as well as intellectually and physically... that education is not ultimatelu about training people to be clever or successful, but about discovering what it is to be the full human beings.
