Our Pre-Prep welcomes children from the age of 2 years and 10 months (preference is given to children in their Pre-Prep year) and provides a safe, stimulating and happy learning environment.

Our small class size means that each child receives quality time with experienced staff who have a good understanding of each individual child’s needs which helps ensure that every child reaches their full potential.

By the end of the Pre-Prep year the children are ready for a smooth transition to P1 with a great head start and positive attitude towards their future education.

Transition to P1

Our aim is to provide a very smooth transition into P1 in Downey House and Fullerton House with a great head start and a positive attitude towards their future education.

The Pre-Prep children will have lots of opportunities to meet their P1 teacher and visit the P1 classroom. The children will get to know the specialist teachers and they will also be familiar with the other staff in the Preparatory Department. The Pre-Prep leader takes full advantage of the opportunity to discuss each individual child with the P1 teacher to ensure continuity of care.
