Head of Junior School Welcome

Welcome to Methodist College Junior School! This is where pupils take their first steps in their journey at Methodist College, gaining independence as they transfer to post primary school and discovering a true love of learning from the earliest stages. Our highly skilled and dedicated Junior School team strikes a balance between striving for academic excellence and a personalised approach to learning.
There are over 750 pupils in Junior School at Methodist College Belfast from Forms 1 - 3.
The size of our school secures an unparalleled subject offer which empowers our pupils. Pupils study a wide range of subjects including Art, Biology, Chemistry, Drama, English, Food & Nutrition, French, Geography, History, Information & Communication Technology, Mathematics, Music, PE, Physics, RE and Technology and Games. Additionally pupils have the option to study French, German, Latin and Spanish.
Pupils in Junior School remain with their Tutor Group for their core classes but for some practical classes such as Art, Drama and Food & Nutrition, Tutor Groups are split into smaller classes. We also offer over 26 extra-curricular activities in Junior School spanning a wide range of interests.
