Fundraising & Alumni

Our mission is to establish and cultivate relationships, facilitate interaction between alumni, friends, organisations and the Methodist College Belfast Community.

From its very foundation in 1865, the College has benefitted from the generosity of its benefactors. It has been this on-going philanthropy from friends and former pupils of the College that has allowed Methody to grow and develop throughout the almost century and a half of its existence. We are focusing on an ambitious and exciting programme of capital development and refurbishment that can only be realised with the help and support of the wider College community. Together, we will be providing learning environments that will contribute to the development of young people with the talent and the determination to shape the future.  Developing our facilities will create spaces that will enhance the values based educational experience the College provides, ensuring that we will continue to produce leaders, wealth generators and change makers.

The Fundraising and Alumni Relations Office aims to:

  • Encourage development and growth of Methodist College Belfast, by seeking contributions and support from both alumni and friends of the College, through a culture of involvement and philanthropic giving.
  • Create and sustain lasting relations with our alumni network through regular communications and events.
  • Encourage companies, charitable trusts and other grant giving organisations to support College projects, pupils and development.

A special request from the Careers Department!

The College Careers Department would like to develop a display for College Careers Events, to encourage current pupils in their career aspirations by highlighting the progress of former pupils in the early years of their careers.

We would be delighted if you would share with us some information about the path you have taken since leaving school. Any help that you can give us will be gratefully received. We would be particularly interested in hearing from former pupils who left the College from approximately 2000 onwards.

If you feel you can help us, please complete this form and return to us at your earliest convenience.

Reconnect with us!

We are proud of our pupils’ achievements and acknowledge that Methody Alumni have settled all over the world, where the experiences, knowledge and skills gained from their time at Methody will continue to bring benefit to them and those around them.
Many former pupils keep the friendships started at Methody: for many they become lifelong bonds. Please explore the menu on the left to find out more about the MCB Former Pupils Association, as well as details of Reunions and other items of interest.

Here at Methody, while we celebrated our 150th anniversary in 2018, we are trying to reconnected with many of our former pupils. We are keen to contact those who have lost touch with the College and would ask that you direct other former pupils with whom you are still in touch to this page. If you would like us to add your details, or amend any contact details that we currently hold on our database, please complete our Fundraising & Alumni Relations Questionnaire.
