Moneybox

Thank you to all our staff for being part of this year's Macmillan Coffee Morning. The total amount raised was £734.40.

A special thanks must go to General Merchants and our canteen staff from Compass Group for providing all the delicious treats.

The Moneybox Charity Committee would like to thank you for all your donations towards the British Red Cross Ukrainian appeal. The response of the Methody community was overwhelming.

The total amount raised was £12,910.50.

Our Form 2 took part in Mexican Wave outside McArthur Hall on Thursday 7th April 2022 to raise awareness of Brain Cancer for the Tessa Jowell Foundation. The whole school took part in a non-uniform day on Friday 8th April and raised an amazing £3451.22 for this charity. Thank you for all the donations, they are much appreciated.

The Tessa Jowell Foundation exists to deliver the legacy of the late Dame Tessa Jowell, starting with what is known as her 'final campaign': to transform brain cancer services across the NHS. To find out more about this organisation you can watch this short video here. 

A number of sixth form students and teachers took part in a spinathon to help raise money for the charity Made for More.

Made for More is a Northern Ireland charity that delivers mental health, self esteem, drugs & alcohol workshops, focusing on the development of young people's mental and physical health.  

We continuely cycled for the school day and raised £2353.76. 

This year fro Children in Need we had a “guess the date of the teddy” competition and the pupils had the opportunity to wear an item of yellow to school .

The total amount raised was £2049.38

At the end of term First Form took part in a colour run at Pirrie Park in aid of The Royal Victoria Hospital Child Loss and Bereavement Service and the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal. They raised £1177.50 and had lots of fun in the process!

At Christmas, we provided over 50 food hampers for FareShare Northern Ireland.
