Welcome to the Preparatory Departments of Methodist College, Belfast. Downey House and Fullerton House cater for girls and boys aged three to eleven; after which most transfer successfully to the main school or other grammar schools in Northern Ireland. The average class size is approximately 18, with a maximum of 24 pupils.

Downey House is situated in East Belfast in the middle of Pirrie Park, the Methodist College playing fields. The children at break and lunch times, have access to large areas of grass, eleven tennis courts and play areas. Senior pupils travel by school bus to Methodist College to use the swimming pool.

Fullerton House is situated in South Belfast at the Lisburn Road end of Methodist College itself. The children have use of the College swimming pool and international sized sports hall which are on site. Senior pupils travel to Pirrie Park for games sessions.

A Boarding option is available from Primary Four upwards.
