OUR LEARNING FOR WORK EXPERIENCE IN WORDS AND PICTURES ENTERPRISE: These pictures show the end result of what started out as a lesson about what makes a person enterprising. After using a case study entitled 'Pat the Plumber' some of the LLW classes considered how they could simulate the qualities and skills of the enterprising person. We took the idea of how we could manufacture and market a variation on a product that everyone has who owns a house- A NUMBER. So, we started off by researching the numbers via the internet and wikipedia and then using Microsoft Publisher, creating a bright and informative door number. Then it was framed and brought into school. The fact that many in the class experienced difficulties completing the task was used to illustrate that the qualities of enterprise, creativity, dedication, problem solving and enthusiasm need to all operate and that only a few people ever fulfil their enterprise potential. The watchword of the lessons became- "DON'T BRING ME A PROBLEM, BRING ME A SOLUTION." | | Members of 1A and 1W who delivered in the enterprise stakes- are you reading this, Alan Sugar?
