Above, pupils from 1M play Identity bingo in which they gather a picture of what makes up our identity from food, to clothes to where we were born. It is done in a non threatening way but provides a platform for a discussion of how identity leads to discrimination, prejudice and stereotyping and how we can counter such unfair treatment of different groups.
Here pupils from 1M take 'The left-handed Test' as a way of illustrating how EQUALITY and FAIRNESS are not the same thing. It aims to get across how the majority -- right-handers in this case- must be sensitive to the needs of minorities and value their contribution. It allowed for discussion of how as a society and a world we can treat people fairly rather than equally
