Past Pupil Talks to U6 Art & Design Students

Rebecca Armstrong, who left Methody in 2014, returned today to talk to current U6 Art and Design students.

Rebecca received a First Class Honours degree in Fashion from the Glasgow School of Art and has completed internships in Glasgow, London and Paris, gaining insight into all aspects of the fashion business.

Since graduating in 2018, she has been working for Ulster Weavers and will shortly be moving to London to begin a Masters Degree in Fashion at the Royal College of Art.

Rebecca gave invaluable advice on applying for courses, interviews and portfolios. She showed students her own work, explaining working processes as a student of Art and Design and talked about the challenges of putting on a show at the end of the course.

We are extremely grateful to Rebecca for giving up her time just before she starts a new course and we all really enjoyed seeing her work and hearing about her experiences to date. We wish her well as she moves to London and look forward to seeing her work develop.
