150th Anniversary Book

FLOREAT COLLEGIUM: A 150th Anniversary portrait of Methodist College Belfast.

Everyone who has been through Methody has a story to tell about their time here. Trying to capture these recollections in a single volume would be an impossible task, but in this book to celebrate our 150th anniversary the author Alan Frame has produced a magnificent account of the life and times of the College. The stories and experiences of pupils past and present that he has selected, illustrate and celebrate the College’s many achievements and provide an enjoyable, entertaining, informative and fascinating read that encapsulates the life and work of Methodist College over the past 150 years.

The official book launch will take place on Thursday 13th December at 7.30pm in the Whitla Hall at Methody. This is a non-ticketed event, we look forward to seeing you.
Using an informal chat show style format, Alan Frame will interview Collegians who feature in the book about their time at Methody and what the College means to them. Afterwards you will have the opportunity for them to sign your copy of the book, followed by refreshments in McArthur Hall.

Colin Davidson, artist.
Glenn Patterson, poet and author.
Robina Ellis, widow of the actor James Ellis.
Marion Woods, daughter of Ernest Walton The Rt Rev.
The Lord Eames OM Rev Dr Harold Good OBE.
